Krista Kussoff-Saypol is the owner and Principal Landscape Architect of TurnLeaf Landscape Architecture. Krista is a New Jersey Licensed Landscape Architect whose passion for the outdoors and design guide her practice to unify clients’ visions with their environment. With a love for exploring and hiking the natural world combined with a persistent desire to travel, Krista uses her surroundings as inspiration for her designs. She recognizes the need for continuous improvements to our built environment and strives to align that demand with sustainable design and construction.
Krista graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Community Planning. She worked for a prominent Landscape Architecture Firm in Rhode Island, focusing on Coastal Landscape Architectural Designs. Her work with environmentally sensitive systems reinforced her diverse design skills.
Krista relocated to New Jersey in 2015 and worked for a reputable Landscape Architecture firm concentrating on high end residential design, urban developments and historic design. She has been certified as a Rhode Island Certified Horticulturist and spent three years as a member of the Township of Denville Zoning board. Krista has brought a variety of project types and sizes from initial site meetings through completed construction. She utilizes clear communication and coordination with clients, design professionals and contractors as a priority throughout any project to ensure a successful design.
